Job Description:
* During maintenance incidents, you will effectively engage in problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques. Identifying the true root cause of the issue – and implementing the corrective actions. You will drive improvements across the maintenance team to enhance efficiency, uphold high standards of 5S, and eliminate or reduce waste and non-value-adding activities. This role offers the opportunity to participate actively in upgrading and improving equipment or engaging in projects.
* The team will complete important documentation, including highlighting errors or bad practices and making suggestions for improvements. You will lead the progression of documentation (Change Controls, Validation documents, etc.) through to completion.
* Utilising external resources where appropriate, you will acquire services/components, generate and complete the necessary documentation (Purchase Orders, spares requests, quotations, etc.).
* You will have awareness of and control over spares in an efficient manner.
* Holding accountability and responsibility for ensuring all personal activities are reliably completed on time, against targets (PPM, Deviations, Change Controls, Training, etc.). Where required, you will complete training to maintain a current aseptic license.
* You will write clear and accurate maintenance instructions. Where appropriate, you will assist with organizing and delivering training and/or instruction to engineering and non-engineering staff.
* Occasionally, you will provide cover for team members, including Technical Specialists and Engineering Coordinators, as defined.
EH&S:
It is important to understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work. You are expected to ensure compliance with EHS and security policies and procedures, rules, signage, and instructions at all times. Additionally, you will conduct timely reporting and support investigations of all accidents, near misses, and breaches of rules.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
We are seeking a multi-skilled engineer with a good understanding of electrical control and automated systems. Candidates should have a technical skill level of HND or higher and demonstrate experience working within a manufacturing environment. As a proactive and logical individual, you should utilize problem-solving skills and lean philosophies to improve processes.
