The Role
As a CNC Programmer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient and accurate production of high‑quality joinery components using Homag CNC woodworking machinery.
Specifically, you will translate architectural and design specifications into optimized machine programmes, create, edit and refine programmes, and interpret complex 2D technical drawings and 3D Solidworx models. You will determine machining requirements, tooling and sequential operations to achieve the best results, whilst also assisting with machine setup and testing, and performing test runs. Managing tooling databases, you will ensure correct tool selection and support operators to maintain tight dimensional and aesthetic tolerances across all components. Additionally, you will maintain a structured and up‑to‑date library of all CNC programs and setup sheets, recommend improvements to machining processes, tooling, and programming standards, ensure all machine parameters, zero-points and tool offsets are correctly set, support quality control activities, and maintain optimal safety, quality and efficiency throughout production.
