Requirements
* Time-served pipe welder
* Proven TIG and MMA (low hydrogen) experience, with MIG knowledge beneficial
* Ability to weld wall thicknesses from 1mm to 32mm
* Experience with welds subject to NDT and destructive testing
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
* Proof of relevant welding codings (current or expired)
* Apprentice trained (Level 2 or 3 Welding/Fabrication) (DESIRED )
* CCNSG Safety Passport ( DESIRED )
* Forklift licence ( DESIRED )
The Role
You will carry out coded welding to ASME or EN standards on pressure pipework, vessels, and associated fabrications in carbon steel and stainless steel.
Typical welding processes include:
* TIG root and hot pass
* MMA (low hydrogen) fill and cap
* TIG cap where required (in line with WPS)
Key Responsibilities
* Welding small bore (
* Fabrication, welding, installation and modification of commercial and process pipework
* Working in all welding positions to tight tolerances
* Producing welds to radiographic standards
* Interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols
* Supporting installation and modification of industrial pipeline systems
* Maintaining excellent housekeeping and H&S standards
* Mentoring junior team members when required
