You will be joining a well‑established housing services providermitted to delivering safe, well‑maintained homes and excellent service to residents. Their Repairs and Maintenance teams ensure homes remain safe, warm, dry, and fully functional, places residents are proud to live.
Your new role
You will join the Responsive Repairs team as a full‑time Electrician, working 39 hours per week (8:00–16:30 Monday–Thursday, 8:00–15:30 Friday) and covering Havant and the surrounding areas.
This role involves carrying out responsive repairs, maintenance and electrical safety work to a high standard, ensuring residents receive a prompt and professional service. You will need to live within the Havant area to maintain efficient response times.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll be a fully qualified, experienced Electrician with strong customer service skills and a proactive, solution‑focused approach. You’ll befortable working in residents’ homes andmitted to providing a positive experience.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Qualified Electrician with proven experience in domestic andmercial electrical work.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical testing, installation and maintenance up to 230v/415v.
3. Ability toplete certification accurately and follow procedures.
4. Confident interpreting technical data, drawings and instructions.
5. Experience working to performance targets in customer‑facing environments.
6. Physically capable of carrying out tasks within H&S guidelines.
7. Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
Essential Qualifications:
8. City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 (or NVQ Level 3)
9. 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
10. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
11. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
A basic DBS check is required (funded by the employer). The role includes participation in an out‑of‑hours callout rota, with additional payment provided
