* As a senior social worker, you will be required to work in accordance with the relevant legal and contemporary policy frameworks including The Promise and National Frameworks for the support and protection of children.
* To provide effective management and supervision of staff and their professional practice.
* You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Bairns’ Hoose standards and continued roll out of SCIM across Moray.
Responsibilities
* To shape and develop services in line with agreed objectives, respond to review of needs, gaps, and trends ensuring involvement of the individuals who use our service, and to oversee support services to those individuals in line with service delivery requirements.
* Provide operational management, support and supervision to Moray SCIM team
* Coordinating trauma responsive plans for children to support their journey through the care, protection, and justice system. This includes coordinating with all relevant agencies including social work, police, health, education and third sector service providers.
* To participate in a range of external networks for the benefit of and with the participation of children, young people and families, and to negotiate effectively with external funding partners and networks
* To build strong partnerships with multi-agency leaders and practitioners to secure funding for service consolidation and development.

The Individual
* Significant experience in Children and Families and statutory social work.
* Experience of working with children and young people who need a plan for their protection.
* Understanding the issues that apply for children and young people who are, or have been, Looked After and Accommodated in any care setting.
* Depth of knowledge about the issues and challenges faced by children and young people and their families in Scotland.
* Understanding of the duties that apply for children and young people who are, or have been, Looked After and Accommodated in any care setting.
* Knowledge and experience of working with the legislation and key government guidance, relevant to the post.
* Good working knowledge of The Scottish Government’s Independent Care Review; The Promise. SCIM & Bairns Hoose
* Q.S.W./Dip. Or BA or equivalent in Social Work.
* SSSC Registered.
* Evidence experience, knowledge, skills and understanding of the differing aspects and needs of children and young people and their families.
* The ability to engage with children and their families in direct service delivery.
* The ability to manage the competing demands and deliver an effective workload management system.
