Salary: £30,846 plus 10% shift allowance
This position follows a structured 2-week day craft pattern designed for balance:
Week 1: Sunday - Thursday
Week 2: Monday - Friday
What You Will Do
As an Electrical/Process Control & Automation Craft, you will be the backbone of safe and reliable production. Your day-to-day will involve:
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on critical electrical systems.
Diagnosing and repairing complex faults in plant equipment and automation systems.
Working hands-on with PLCs, digital drives, and AC/DC motors.
Interpreting technical drawings to ensure all work meets high engineering standards.
Contributing to technical investigations and improvement activities to boost plant performance.
Upholding rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
An HNC level qualification, typically gained through a craft or modern apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering.
Previous experience in a plant or heavy industrial environment.
A deep understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols, paired with strong fault-finding skills.
The ability to work independently under pressure and effectively communicate with the wider team.
