About This Role
As a HR project assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resources function across the College and the Hurst Education Trust schools. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will support the recruitment function and have opportunities to engage with wider HR projects. Starting in August 2025, this role is suitable for a recent graduate or someone beginning their career in Human Resources.
Role Responsibilities
Recruitment
* Supporting the Talent Acquisition Manager in end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, conducting pre-interview screening, preparing offer letters, and managing candidate engagement.
* Supporting the recruitment of the Teach Hurst graduate scheme, including liaising with university careers services, organizing attendance at careers events, and managing candidate logistics.
* Creating content for social media and developing the Hurst Employer brand.
HR Coordination
* Supporting HR administration tasks such as onboarding, leavers, contract changes, and absence monitoring.
* Reviewing and updating policies and staff handbook to ensure legal compliance.
* Managing the support staff appraisal process and promoting employee wellbeing initiatives.
Person Specification
* A relevant degree in Human Resource Management or Business is highly desirable.
* Strong administrative, IT, and digital skills, with social media knowledge preferred.
* Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent interpersonal skills, and confidentiality.
* Confident communicator, adaptable, and flexible in approach.
