Job Description:
Legal Counsel – Commercial, M&A, Infrastructure
In-house | Regulated Industry | High-Impact Work
A leading organisation undergoing major transformation is looking for a talented Legal Counsel to join its high-performing in-house legal team. This is a standout opportunity for a commercial lawyer seeking varied, high-quality transactional work within a complex and dynamic operational setting.
Why this role?
This isn’t your typical in-house role. You’ll be supporting strategic initiatives that span M&A, infrastructure projects, procurement, port and vessel operations, and large-scale commercial agreements—all within a fast-paced, asset-intensive industry undergoing significant investment and change.
You’ll work closely with operational leaders and executives, contributing directly to high-level decision-making while managing legal risk and supporting long-term commercial success.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts and complex cross-border transactions
* Supporting M&A, JV, and strategic investment activity, ensuring smooth and compliant deal execution
* Advising on regulatory and operational matters, especially across infrastructure and transport-related assets
* Managing external counsel and working alongside key stakeholders across commercial, operational, and legal teams
* Driving forward compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives
What we’re looking for:
* 5–7 years’ PQE (flexible), qualified in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction
* Strong background in commercial and transactional law—either from private practice or in-house
* Comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments and negotiating detailed contracts
* Clear communicator with the ability to advise at executive level and collaborate cross-functionally
* Experience in asset-heavy or regulated sectors (infrastructure, logistics, maritime, transport, etc.) is a strong plus
This is an opportunity to:
Step into a role with high visibility and direct impact
Work across multiple business functions and legal disciplines
Be part of a forward-thinking legal team during a pivotal growth phase
Join a fast-paced industry where no two days look the same
