Role Overview
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the daily running of your designated room, ensuring a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for the children. You will lead a small team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
* Passionately lead and support a team of early years practitioners
* Ensure a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for all children
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers
* Monitor and evaluate children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
* Support the Nursery Manager in maintaining high standards of practice
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years experience working in an early years setting
* Previous supervisory or team leader experience is desirable
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A warm, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach
