Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages.
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic science technician who will take a lead role and be responsible for overseeing the technical support provided by our small technician team in the Science Department. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a keen desire to learn and have the ability to use their own initiative and common sense. A background in science is required with either professional laboratory experience or working as a school technician.

This post forms part of a full time post which has been divided under a job sharing arrangement. Should your job share partner resign from this post you will be offered the remaining portion of the post. If you decline the offer every effort will be made to fill the job share vacancy by normal recruitment procedures. However, if this is unsuccessful, and the school still needs a full time post to carry out the duties after considering alternative arrangements, your employment with the School will be terminated unless suitable alternative employment can be found via the redeployment process.

The successful candidate will be expected to work some break and lunchtime duties as required, as part of these contractual hours.
