We are looking to strengthen our Engineering and Sites team with a Civil Engineer Apprentice based within the Anglian Water Region.
As a Civil Engineer Degree Level Apprentice you will become a part of the Engineering and Site teams, where we will make it our ambition to prepare you for a successful and rewarding career in Civil Engineering by providing mentoring and exposure to projects alongside your studying. In order to learn aspects of design and site operations you will be rotated around the business, across the Anglian water region. This programme will be agreed with your line manager when you start. The rotational nature of the programme will give you great exposure to the exciting portfolio of activities that we do across the @one Alliance. This will make you a well rounded engineer and help you achieve your qualifications. Alongside our experienced engineers and construction professionals, you learn the following:
1. Conduct engineering measurements, checks, inspections and tests to ensure quality compliance
2. Contribute to documenting plans, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
3. Develop practical understanding of the importance of health and safety and the environmental requirements involved in civil engineering
4. Understand and apply industry specifications, codes, standards and guidance
5. Develop knowledge and understanding of Geotechnical Design processes
6. Participate in site inductions, morning briefings & toolbox talks
7. Interpret and analyse of information including analysis of data, producing models, calculations, reports and drawings
8. Use digital solutions to solve technical problems
9. Identify and manage risk both in a project setting and during the design process
10. Contribute to sustainable engineering solutions
11. Conduct regular safety tours
12. Maintain accurate records
