What We’re Looking For:
A proven procurement professional with strong experience in senior procurement and commercial roles, broad category knowledge, and the confidence to engage at C-level and board level. You have owned and optimized end-to-end procurement processes and driven business-wide adoption to enhance cost control. You are passionate about improving process efficiency, delivering stakeholder training, and ensuring compliance while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders. We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Procurement Operations to oversee procurement activities for our client including the leading of the central buy desk operations team who support with spend management across all indirect categories as well purchase order administration. You will demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and team coaching skills. You are solutions-focused, adaptable, and tech-savvy and bring advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis whilst navigating and training procurement teams on systems such as; Jira, Workday, Oracle, and ServiceNow.

* Total Package range: £55,000 - £80,000
* Working Pattern: Full time, minimum of 2 days per week on site

Role Overview:
As the Head of Procurement Operations you will take ownership of procurement delivery operations for our clients, including managing the central buy desk, and driving process governance and category planning. In this role, you will lead, train, and develop a high-performing procurement Operations desk team responsible for renewals sourcing, contract negotiation, purchase order execution and administration, and supplier management to deliver cost savings and improved performance. You will manage a pipeline of indirect procurement projects aligned with client and EBIT objectives, ensuring prioritisation, timely delivery, and alignment with onboarding, SOPs, and change management processes. Acting as a key escalation point, you will maintain strong stakeholder engagement, provide strategic procurement guidance, and support decision-making through data-driven insights. You will establish and lead a spend control tower process to validate purchasing decisions, challenge spend where necessary, and promote compliance. Tech-savvy and systems-oriented, you’ll work confidently across tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Workday, Oracle, and ServiceNow, driving efficiency and global collaboration across teams in the US, UK, EU, and Asia. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset, the ability to navigate complex environments, and a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions in line with client and EBIT standards.
