About The Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic Service Desk team in Macclesfield. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, providing both remote and onsite technical support across a variety of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cyber‑security solutions. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving service tickets, implementing technical solutions, and supporting our clients’ IT environments to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. This position provides a platform to develop your skills further and contribute meaningfully to our clients’ technological success.


Qualifications

* Proven experience in technical support roles, particularly within infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint environments.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Defender, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
* Experience with Windows Server, networking (routers, switches), and VoIP systems.
* Hands‑on experience with cyber‑security tools and threat monitoring systems.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (desirable but not essential).
* Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
* Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent are advantageous.


Responsibilities

* Managing and resolving service tickets promptly, adhering to established SLAs to ensure high‑quality support.
* Handling both initial support requests and escalated issues, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Completing sales orders and project work within agreed timelines, ensuring seamless delivery.
* Implementing approved technical solutions remotely or onsite, tailored to client needs.
* Supporting the continuous improvement of Service Desk technologies, processes, and workflows.
* Developing, maintaining, and updating operational procedures, technical documentation, and user guides.
* Monitoring cyber‑security threats and vulnerabilities, responding proactively to mitigate risks.
* Performing routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and network device configurations.
* Communicating effectively with internal teams and clients regarding technical issues, security alerts, and best practices.
* Staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, contributing to the development of best practice standards.
* Promoting awareness of infrastructure and platform technologies across the organization to enhance operational efficiency.
