EUC Engineer – End User Computing
We’re working with a highly advanced global technology firm at the forefront of machine learning and large-scale data infrastructure. Engineering and infrastructure are at the heart of the business, with a strong focus on performance, automation, and continuous improvement.
They are looking for an EUC Engineer to join their global support team in Bristol.
This is not a traditional support role. It combines hands-on user support with platform engineering, automation, and ongoing optimisation across a complex, high-performance environment.
The role:
You will support users in the Bristol office while collaborating closely with teams across Europe. Beyond day-to-day support, you’ll help improve systems, standardise environments, and develop automation to increase efficiency and reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting Windows and Linux desktop environments
* Managing core platforms including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Slack, Jira, and AV systems
* Improving onboarding processes for users and hardware
* Managing IT asset lifecycle (procurement through to disposal)
* Contributing to the global Windows platform
* Troubleshooting across desktops, servers, identity, and hardware
* Building automation for provisioning, patching, configuration, and monitoring
Requirements:
* Around 5+ years in a relevant technical role
* Strong experience with Windows environments (Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
* Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (including Intune)
* Solid PowerShell scripting for automation
* Experience with endpoint management tools (SCCM and/or Intune)
* Basic Linux command line knowledge
* Understanding of networking fundamentals
* Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
You’ll need to be comfortable working directly with users, able to explain technical issues clearly, and motivated to improve and automate rather than just maintain.
