Head Chef - Knightsbridge, London We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Amélie, a vibrant, all-day restaurant celebrating bold Provençal flavours in the heart of Belgravia. Inspired by the sun-drenched flavours of Provence, our menu skilfully balances Mediterranean influences with modern finesse, showcasing bold flavours, seasonal ingredients, and expert craftsmanship. This is a hands-on, leadership role for a Chef who is passionate about seasonal produce, understands the rhythm of a busy service, and has the creative and operational skill to lead a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade, fostering a culture of collaboration, development and consistently high standards Take ownership of the full kitchen operation, from prep to service, maintaining pace, precision, and pride in every detail Lead menu development and seasonal updates in collaboration with the Executive Team, including new dish creation, recipe testing, and presentation standards Manage food and labour cots in line with budget, overseeing gross profit margins, forecasting, rota planning, and kitchen-related expenses, including maintenance and repairs Oversee stock control, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure smooth ordering, delivery and storage of ingredients and supplies Uphold food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal requirements Recruit, train, and coach the kitchen team, supporting individual development and maintaining a high-performing, engaged brigade Conduct regular team performance reviews and collaborate with People Team on recruitment, performance management and team development Work in close partnership with the FOH team to ensure a seamless guest experience and smooth communication between kitchen and floor About You Proven experience as a Head Chef in a quality, high-volume luxury restaurant environment Deep understanding of French and Mediterranean cuisine and a passion for produce-led cooking Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to motivate and manage a dynamic team Excellent commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, margins, and labour planning Exceptional organisational skills, calm under pressure and a sharp eye for detail Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene and allergens legislation A genuine love for hospitality and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality food Why Join Us?
