We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Legal Secretary based in our litigation & family departments at our Uxbridge office in West London.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, mid-sized firm where you will be able to engage with people across many functions and develop a sense of belonging and purpose within our team. In this varied role, covering bothy litigation and family work. You will complete legal and general administrative tasks including preparing documentation for review and maintaining all files.
In addition, you will:
1. Undertake file management including opening and closing files.
2. Type legal and general documents as required either by request or from fee earner dictation.
3. Answer phone queries and develop a working knowledge of client matters.
4. Liaise with clients and ensure a good level of customer service.
5. Assist the office team with general administration.
This role is based at our recently refurbished Uxbridge office which is ideally positioned with good transport links to central London and surrounding areas.
Necessary Skills
1. Strong IT literacy with experience using MS Word, MS Excel and Case Management software.
2. Ability to work in a ‘paper light’ office.
3. Fast and accurate word processing.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills – someone who enjoys client contact, answering telephone calls and providing assistance as appropriate.
5. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, showing initiative.
