Belmont Recruitment are looking for an experienced Production Assistant to work with a Nottingham-based Local Authority on a temporary basis on an initial three month contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri, 7:30am – 3:30pm).
Main Duties:
* Prepare and pack food items as directed and in accordance with standard recipes and packing schedules.
* Assist in the correct storage & chilling of food in accordance with instructions.
* To clean as directed kitchen equipment, work surfaces, storage facilities and any associated areas.
* To follow all quality control procedures and complete any documentation as necessary.
* To report equipment defects and any other problems arising in the course of normal work.
* To assist in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production unit.
* To carry out all duties and responsibilities with a can do attitude.
Essential Criteria:
* Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or appropriate experience.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Experience of working in a food environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
