What does a day in the life of a Shop Assistant involve?
* Assisting the shop manager to run a lucrative, customer-focused shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
* Helping to create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.
* Confidently working on the shop floor, being the first point of contact for customers, operating the till, and creating striking displays.
* Sorting stock and preparing items for display behind the scenes.
What does it take to be a successful Shop Assistant?
* Previous experience in a retail environment and confidence handling money.
* Strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service, enjoying meeting different people.
* A commercial mindset with an understanding of hitting targets.
* An ability to anticipate customer needs and delight them with the service provided.
