Job Summary
Based in our thriving East Cowes facilities, and reporting into the Site Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Estates Manager will be accountable for building the capability of both sites to ensure the facility & grounds never impact the operations schedule. This will be achieved by deploying the One Aerospace strategy, including standardisation, training, coaching and implementing best practices.
They will also lead and steer the development of the strategy for both Estates and Security, following a robust framework to deploy the appropriate solutions to our multi-site operational needs, responding to current and future market changes.
Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities will include:
1. Accountable for all aspects of Site Security Management
2. Accountable for all aspects of Estate Management (All non-plant) reactive and proactive works
3. Accountable for Soft Services FM provision
4. Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring compliance to the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
5. Manage a multi-disciplined team to plan and perform
6. Achieve the expected maturity for the function, plan and deliver the transformation to achieve required levels of maturity.
7. The maintenance and improvement of the site security both physical and process
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
8. Significant previous experience in a similar role
9. Experience of working to implement functional capability in the area of estates and security management
10. Technical expertise in Estates maintenance and Security systems
11. Proven contract management capabilities
12. Advanced communication and influencing skills, with an ability to influence senior levels of the business, as well as establish collaborative working relationships across different departments, contractors and geographies.
13. Proven structured problem-solving experience
14. Experience of Real Estate management
15. Experience of Fleet management
16. Experience of Soft services facility management
17. Technical expertise in Security solutions (physical)
18. Strong understanding and experience of UK Government Security policy and requirements, including IPSA and FSC.
19. Knowledge of Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessment (TVRA) methodologies.
20. Experience developing site security plans, processes, and procedures.
21. Ability to drive change and prioritise work-streams.
22. Proven track record of project delivery (on time in budget)
