Role: IT Application Development Manager
Location: Europe (preferably UK, France, Netherlands, Italy) - Remote
Spencer Rigby has partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company seeking a hands-on IT Application Development Manager to lead, innovate, and shape the digital infrastructure of the organization.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented development team, oversee system architecture, and deliver scalable solutions that support global operations.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead a high-performing internal development team on key technical initiatives
* Architect and develop a scalable systems and data landscape
* Ensure 24/7 system reliability
* Promote best practices in SDLC and maintain clear documentation
* Mentor team members and stakeholders in modern tools and methodologies
* Collaborate with IT and business leaders to develop innovative, value-driven solutions
* Work with vendors to ensure smooth operation of systems like ERP, QMS, and PLM
What You Bring:
* Leadership experience in tech development within the Medical Device or advanced manufacturing sectors
* Expertise in system architecture and design
* Experience supporting global, 24/7 operational applications
* Proficiency in Azure, Java, and API integration
* Vendor management experience with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems
* Strong leadership skills focused on coaching and development
