The Role We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant who can make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will: Support students across Key Stage 3–Post-16 with a variety of SEND needs Build positive relationships and act as a strong, consistent presence in the classroom Confidently manage and de-escalate behavioural situations Work both independently and collaboratively with teaching staff Assist with personal care when required Help deliver a creative, inclusive and engaging curriculumAbout You To be considered for this role, you must: Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or a relevant field (Level 3 desirable) Have recent experience supporting students with SEND in a UK school setting Possess a sound understanding of the curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies Be able to provide two professional references covering at least the last two years (one must reference your work with children) Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Smile EducationWhy Join Smile Education?
