The Global Project Head (GPH), Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Leader drives GI Oncology disease area strategy across multiple assets, contributes to multi-asset portfolio optimization, and late-stage asset development through comprehensive disease understanding and data-driven decision-making.This GPH role is matrixed across asset-oriented GPTs (global product teams), reporting to the Head, Solid Tumors in Oncology Development.

In this assignment, the GPH will be accountable for disease-area focused clinical development strategy. The GPH will interface with cross-functional asset-oriented GPTs to ensure correct planning and implementation of end-to-end compound strategy for gastrointestinal malignancies. The GPH will represent the Disease Area function at the cross-functional GBT responsible for commercial brand strategy. The GPH will present and discuss disease-area strategy with key internal stakeholders, external investigators and advisory boards, and worldwide regulatory authorities. The GPH will be contribute to the Clinical assessment of external business development in Gastrointestinal malignancies.

About You

Basic Qualifications

1. MD or PhD with proven experience in solid tumor oncology clinical development

2. 7 or more years of experience spanning early to late-stage clinical research and development in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry

3. Good understanding of global drug development process and of functional roles and responsibilities

4. Experience in successful submissions for marketing authorization

5. Experience leading cross-functional clinical teams

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

7. 20% travel domestic and international

Preferred Qualifications:

8. Strong leadership and clinical expertise in a specific disease area, ideally GI oncology, for effective international collaboration with external and internal stakeholders.

9. Experience preparing regulatory submissions, and in discussion and negotiation with health authorities.

10. Experience collaborating with commercial and medical functions within launch or post-launch settings

11. Experience working in matrix environments,

12. Ability to integrate all aspects of projects and their potential impact on the clinical strategy.

13. Ability to develop strong networks internally and externally beyond initial field of expertise.

14. Experience in regional alliance partnerships or co-development

15. Strong interpersonal, cross-functional, and cross-cultural communication skills to bridge clinical and business or regulatory participants, and understand marketing, payer and regulatory needs.

16. Ability to define clear, challenging and realistic goals and appropriately assess the balance of investment and deliverables.

The salary range for this position is:

$232,500.00 - $335,833.33

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the .
