Senior Service Improvement Lead - Best Start Family Hubs - Ref: CH02626 G10: £47,181 - £50,269 per annum Service Area: Service Improvement & Quality Assurance Location: Walsall (with flexible, community‑based working) Make a difference where it matters most - giving every child the best start in life. Walsall Council is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Service Improvement Lead to support the continued development and impact of our Best Start Family Hubs programme. This is a key strategic role, working at the heart of Children’s Services to drive improvement, strengthen quality assurance, and embed a strong, data‑driven culture across Best Start Family Hubs and partner services. About the role As Senior Service Improvement Lead, you will: Drive, support and influence the delivery of day to day insight management and quality assurance systems for Best Start Family Hubs in Walsall, in line with legislative requirements, national and local policy and strategy. Undertake a range of performance reporting in support of projects and programmes across Best Start Family Hubs as required, using analytical tools and producing reports and charts that promote a data driven culture. Collaborate with partner agencies, including schools, health services, police and the voluntary & community organisations to provide integrated tools for service improvement. About you We are looking for someone who: Has an in depth knowledge and passion for the potential impact of Family Hubs Understands the impact of poverty, oppression, and discrimination on families; specific areas of family stress e.g. mental/emotional health, offending, drug, alcohol and substance misuse, domestic abuse etc. Is confident working with complex datasets and translating insight into practical improvement actions. Can influence, challenge and support colleagues and partners in a constructive way Why Walsall?
