Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school to recruit a Reception Teacher for a permanent role. The school is seeking a committed and experienced Early Years practitioner to lead a Reception class, with a strong focus on early development, phonics, and building secure foundations for lifelong learning. This role is best suited to qualified teachers with proven EYFS experience who are confident in delivering high-quality provision within a structured and supportive environment. The school places a strong emphasis on consistency, clear routines, and nurturing children's confidence, independence, and love of learning from the very start of their education. You will be joining a collaborative Early Years team and a forward-thinking leadership group, all dedicated to maintaining high standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring positive outcomes for all pupils.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
* Use ongoing assessment to track progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs
* Support children's early literacy, numeracy, and communication development
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support learning at home
* Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider Early Years team
* Take part in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
What We're Looking For
* QTS (essential), EYTS considered, ECTs are welcome to apply
* Proven experience teaching within an EYFS setting, ideally Reception
* Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum
* Confident in managing a classroom and supporting a range of abilities
* A nurturing, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
* A committed, proactive approach to teaching and professional development
