?? Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to support the pre-construction team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical building services and experience estimating for projects across the relevant sectors.
?? Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for projects ranging from £500k to £10m+
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate costings
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Collaborate with the design and project teams to ensure alignment of scope and pricing
* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required
* Identify value engineering opportunities and risk factors
* Maintain and update estimating databases and tools
* Provide support during bid submissions and presentations
?? Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E contracting industry
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and public health
* Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Experience working on projects in Leisure, Commercial, Education, and Residential sectors is highly desirable
