GA Barnie Group has an exciting opportunity for a skilled *Gas Engineer* to join our team on a permanent basis, working in and around the *Inverness area*.*Role Overview:*As a *Gas Engineer*, you will be responsible for carrying out *planned and reactive maintenance* on gas systems across *domestic,* (potentially commercial, and industrial) Your role will involve diagnosing and repairing faults, performing new installations, and ensuring all work meets industry standards and service level agreements. Additionally, you will provide *first-line emergency response* during both normal working hours and on-call periods.*Key Responsibilities:** Carry out *reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs* on gas systems.* Undertake *new installations* and *planned preventive maintenance (PPM)* with full documentation.* Ensure all work complies with *industry regulations and safety standards*.* Work independently and collaboratively on *large-scale projects*.* Mentor and support *apprentices* within the team.* Maintain a proactive and problem-solving approach to daily tasks.*Essential Skills & Qualifications:*✔ Proven experience in *domestic* gas environments.✔ *Domestic Gas Certification*.✔ *OFTEC & GasSafe registered*.✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.✔ Ability to work both independently and within a team.✔ Willingness to train and mentor apprentices.✔ A *full, clean UK driving licence*.✔ A *current Disclosure Scotland/PVG check* (or willingness to obtain one).*What We Offer:** A *competitive salary* and benefits package.* A supportive and professional *team environment*.* Opportunities for *career development and training*.* The chance to work on *diverse projects* in a well-established company.Job Type: Full-timePay: £40,000.00-£51,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
