Aston Education is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join this Sixth Form College near Victoria station in Central London. Their Ofsted is Good with Outstanding features.
The college has recently grown, welcoming a more diverse intake, including more young people aged 16-19 with additional learning, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
They are looking for an LSA to work closely with students who require additional support to reach their full potential. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive and inclusive learning environment while providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND.
You'll assist in developing and implementing EHCP/LP, ensuring students receive the appropriate support and interventions. You'll work as part of the SEND safeguarding team.
You will assist with classroom activities, monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with other professionals. You'll also support students in exams as a reader or scribe.

Qualifications & Experience required include:
Experience working with students with specific learning difficulties (e.g., ASC, dyslexia, ADHD) or disabilities
Experience supporting learners in a further education/sixth form setting
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
Training related to SEN
Degree or HE qualification in Computer Science or Maths
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
