Learning Support Assistant - Full-Time Role in Salford SEN School

Your New Job
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will provide essential support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions, assist with classroom activities, and promote positive behaviour and engagement. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting students with autism, learning difficulties, and communication needs
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Assisting with differentiated learning and classroom tasks
* Supporting personal care and mobility where required
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role, you should have:
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (in schools, care, or youth settings)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Hays
