Our client are a small to medium size business, who offer niche and innovative products to a global engineering market and are currently recruiting for a Factory Manager / Production Manager to join them. Reporting to the MD, you will be a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the factory and production processes. Duties and responsibilities: Organising and managing around 60 staff including toolroom, maintenance, quality, production and warehousing, as well as managing agency staff. Developing and supporting staff including responsibility for apprentices. Update and implement ISO9001, 14001 and industry specific quality management systems and standards - as well as conducting internal and external audits. Analysis of daily operational data to ensure short and long term KPI's are being met. Managing stock control, movement of goods and general housekeeping. Write and implement work instructions and/or SOPs across all areas of operation. Direct involvement in manufacturing issues and troubleshooting.
