Retention Advisor
Location: Basingstoke
Contract: Office based, Permanent Role, Part Time, 16 hours per week, 10am-2pm 4 days a week
Salary up to £13,033.55 prorated per annum
We are looking for a dedicated Retention Advisor to support the delivery of the Government Key Worker Accommodation Contract, working across various stages of a property’s life cycle. This frontline service supporting customers through different stages of their tenancy by sourcing, assessing, and allocating suitable properties to meet contractual targets. Responsibilities include auditing and managing housing stock, reviewing applications, negotiating with landlords and clients, and maintaining accurate records with regular updates and escalations to the line manager. The position requires building strong relationships with property providers, partners, and contractors, ensuring effective service delivery through collaboration and audit checks, while supporting colleagues and contributing to ad hoc projects.
Role Criteria
1. Experience in similar duties
2. Negotiation skills
3. Experience of working in a customer service environment
4. Experience of working in residential lettings property environment
5. A background in housing, repairs and maintenance, lettings or social housing
6. Experience of working independently
7. Understanding current lettings legislation including health and safety
8. Excellent communicator
9. Decisive decision maker
10. Ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting prioritise
