About us and the role: In our relentless pursuit of Power Unit performance and reliability, we develop cutting‑edge manufacturing processes that simply cannot be bought off the shelf. This gives us a unique competitive advantage and offers our Automation Engineers an extraordinary opportunity to design, build, and commission special purpose machines, taking initial sketches and turning them into fully operational production systems.
We are looking for an expert in Industrial Automation programming, specialising in the Beckhoff ecosystem. Your proficiency with these technologies will be critical in developing and optimising automation processes, ensuring precision, repeatability, and long‑term reliability. Our machines use the PackML framework and object‑oriented principles, covering all areas of industrial automation: PLC programming, HMI development, motion control, analytics, and integration of sensors and third‑party systems. A key part of the role will involve creating, maintaining, and evolving your own reusable function blocks to ensure scalable and maintainable software architectures across multiple machines.
Your role will involve designing, developing, and validating both new and existing automation programs to ensure they are scalable, robust, and production‑ready. The machines you deliver will play a critical part in the manufacturing and assembly of highly engineered Power Units, including internal combustion engines, electric machines, and batteries built to the highest standards.
