Cura Terrae is looking to recruit an HR Business Partner to join our growing People team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior HR professional, such as a Senior Advisor or HR Manager, looking to take the next step into a broader strategic HR role while continuing to develop their expertise. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver HR support across our group of environmental companies, driving engagement, culture, and performance in line with our People Plan and business strategy.

The opportunity…
As HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with leaders and managers to provide expert HR advice across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Acting as a trusted partner, you’ll influence people decisions, support positive change, and help shape Cura Terrae’s culture through engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative People team that values knowledge sharing and professional growth. With access to guidance from experienced peers and leaders, this is a great opportunity to develop your HR business partnering skills in a positive, empowering environment where your ideas and contribution will be valued.
This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on HR professional who enjoys variety, collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in HR practices. You’ll have the chance to influence the growth and development of our teams while expanding your own skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.
What you’ll be doing…
* Acting as a trusted partner to business leaders and managers, providing expert HR advice and support.
* Delivering practical HR initiatives that drive performance, engagement, and cultural alignment with our People Plan.
* Supporting all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and exit.
* Managing employee relations matters with fairness and in accordance with employment legislation and best practice.
* Supporting positive change initiatives that create space for growth, innovation, and new ways of working.
* Championing Cura Terrae’s values and promoting engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Using HR systems and analytics to inform decision-making and enhance HR service delivery.
* Collaborating closely with the Group Head of People and wider People team to ensure a consistent, high-quality HR experience across all Cura Terrae businesses.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll be a confident, hands-on HR professional with strong generalist experience and the ability to partner effectively with leaders. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up into a more strategic HR role while continuing their professional development with the support of an experienced and approachable team.
* Previous experience in an operational HR role, ideally with exposure to multi-site or group organisations.
* Experience of implementing HR initiatives and strategies.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and employee relations.
* Experience of related HR administration.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* Experience of using HR information systems and data to drive insights and improvements.
* Experience in multi-site or consultancy/professional services environment.
* Systems development/implementation or process optimisation experience.
* Mental Health First Aider certification.
* Experience leading HR projects linked to growth, development, or positive change initiatives.
