Job Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Director to join a fast‑growing tax team at AC
The role involves leading high‑performing tax compliance and advisory projects for a portfolio of growth‑focused companies and enhancing our client service by delivering premium corporation tax compliance to key corporate clients.
Responsibilities
* Act as an integral part of the compliance and advisory team, supporting a range of fast‑growing companies and larger corporates.
* Own and manage a client portfolio, leading the delivery of premium corporation tax compliance and acting as the main client contact during the process.
* Provide technically accurate, clear and concise tax advice covering technical issues such as international expansion, transfer pricing, R&D relief, group and shareholder reorganisations, loss relief, tax treatment of interest, capital allowances and acquisitions.
* Build an external network of peers and maintain a broad understanding of the firm’s capabilities and industry factors relevant to clients.
* Collaborate closely with partners and directors to support business development activities in the region.
* Liaise with colleagues in other departments to deliver high‑quality service and identify tax‑related risks and opportunities for clients.
* Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering continuous skill and knowledge improvement.
Qualifications
* ACA qualification (or equivalent) required.
* CTA qualification preferred, or proven tax advisory experience.
* Excellent experience in corporate tax compliance, preparing and reviewing tax computations.
* Comprehensive corporate tax technical knowledge.
* Experience managing a busy client portfolio.
* Strong business development skills, converting relationships into fee‑paying work.
* Significant experience at a Manager level or equivalent, demonstrating the capability for an Associate Director role.
