Clinical lead for primary care programme (England) Sessional rate: £ 300 Hours: Up to 4 sessions per week Location: Virtual location with occasional travel requirement Contract length: 24 months (with option to review at 12 months) Closing date: 30 th June, with interviews 14 th and 15 th July At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We are seeking one or more qualified, practising GP s to work with CRUK’s expert teams to grow our work supporting primary care professionals to improve cancer outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for GPs who possess strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, focussed on developing and leading a new national networking and learning forum for primary care professionals and leaders. Th e objective is to support pr imary care across England to implement the best evidence - based practices and innovations to help diagnose cancers earlier and improve outcomes, and the role will involve opportunities to work with cutting-edge thinkers in this area. The postholder will also work with expert teams as an advisor across our broader primary care portfolio, and might also represent CRUK in the media. This is a hands-on role for GPs with a passion for improving outcomes as well as experience implementing programmes and influencing amongst their peers. It will involve activities like planning and delivering in-person and virtual meetings, leading projects for the network, and shaping educational activities – supported by project management expertise from within CRUK. We particularly encourage applications from candidates open to job-share arrangements. The successful applicant(s) will not be employed directly by CRUK so must be able to accept a contract from CRUK either as a sole trader or via a third party (such as their practice) How do I apply?
