We are urgently seeking a compassionate support worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, supported living homes. This role requires a strong commitment to clients' care, particularly for those with LD or other health challenges. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive and personalised care.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Provide compassionate patient care while ensuring the dignity and respect of each individual.
* Support clients with LD care by engaging them in meaningful activities and providing reassurance.
* Assist clients to move safely and comfortably.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
* Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
Requirements
* Previous experience in supported living/LD or a similar role is essential.
* Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
* Ability to deliver personal care as required by the needs of clients.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A caring attitude towards individuals in need of support, particularly those in assisted living settings.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
