At Dalcour Maclaren, we are key players in the Utilities and Infrastructure industry, delivering land, environmental and geospatial expertise to support the delivery of infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. Our services include land access and assembly, agricultural liaison, planning, environmental impact assessments and geospatial mapping. Our Placement Surveyor programme is a 12-month scheme designed to provide comprehensive exposure to surveying within Utilities & Infrastructure, with live project experience and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills for a career in the sector.
Responsibilities
* Work on utilities and infrastructure projects to manage land-related issues during development (e.g., pipelines, power lines, roads).
* Negotiate access agreements and assess/handle compensation claims for landowners; ensure compliance with regulations and minimise impact on agricultural land and rural properties.
* Act as an intermediary between clients and landowners to oversee land access and management while ensuring fair compensation and resolving disputes.
* Provide land and property advice to clients and support the delivery of Heads of terms and licences with stakeholders.
* Assist with site notices, records of condition, site visits, and monitoring project progress.
* Assist with compensation assessments and valuation related to land, agricultural losses and general disturbance.
* Support with landlord and tenant relationships and tenancy agreements; contribute to risk assessment and problem-solving with the wider team.
* Utilise data and technology to support large-scale schemes, including reporting functions.

We are seeking the right combination of skills and attributes, such as proactivity, problem-solving and attention to detail, to contribute to your success. To enroll on our programme, you will need to hold a RICS accredited or relevant degree and have a full UK driving licence; your own means of transport is essential.
