LOCATION: Bristol - This role will require you to be office based 3 days a week.
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,300 - £36,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Natural History Unit is currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Team Assistant to support the Director of Commercial and Operations. This pivotal role will serve as the administrative backbone of the Natural History Leadership Team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality administrative support across a wide range of responsibilities, including diary management, handling and directing enquiries, maintaining records, acting as the first point of contact for the leadership team, and coordinating various projects and activities.

With an increasingly diverse portfolio of content, including Prehistoric Planet - the ground-breaking AppleTV+ Original series bringing ancient Earth's habitats and inhabitants to life like never before, we now produce programmes for broadcasters and platforms all over the world. Current titles in production include Planet Earth III for BBC, The Americas for NBCU, and Ocean Xplorers (WT), a co-production with OceanX Media and James Cameron, for National Geographic Disney+.
The Team Assistant plays a significant role to support the Leaders of The Natural History Unit.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT Provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to leadership team
Organise key team meetings including coordination and distribution of agendas, supporting documents, production and distribution of minutes, and follow-up on outstanding actions.
Make routine arrangements and bookings, according to clearly defined instructions, and provide diary management assistance to team to help ensure that they use their time effectively.
Maintain, efficiently operate and improve a range of office processes and administrative systems (including filing) to ensure the smooth running of the team.
Organising events and hospitality arrangements such as away days and conferences.
Travel arrangements, both domestic and international, including visas and other required documentation.
Prepare documents, presentations and other materials to a clear brief, using established formats and standard software.
Follow set ordering procedures to ensure adequate low value supplies/resources are available to meet office/work unit requirements.
Work with colleagues across the organisation to help deliver strategic initiatives
Develop a good rapport with key internal and external stakeholder teams
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Demonstrable experience of providing administration assistance at a PA level to Senior level in at least one organisation
Experience of successfully managing complex diary arrangements for multiple stakeholders
Confidence to research, gather, analyse, collate, and present complex information
Demonstrable organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple activities under pressure, while maintaining a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Effective communication skills with the ability to work well with range of people at all levels
Proficient computer skills with strong experience of office software packages (i.e.Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to use own initiative with minimal supervision and deal with routine queries as they arise, escalating to others as necessary
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Media sector experience
Relevant business administration qualification
