Position Overview
Band 6 Cardiac Scientist – Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Post includes R and R premium of 15% if registered with HCPC or AHCS and signed off as competent at band 6 level.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as an independent cardiac practitioner in both non‑invasive diagnostics and invasive/PCI, angio, brady implants.
* Perform and lead a range of invasive and non‑invasive investigations, including exercise stress testing, tilt testing, ambulatory monitoring, device follow‑up and complex invasive procedures such as angiography, PCI, PPM, ICD / CRT implantation and EP.
* Assist in the Rapid Access Heart Failure Clinic, Physiologist Led Valve Clinic, and ILR implant service.
* Contribute to the development of future cardiac services and support accreditation initiatives (BHRS/BSE).
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) or MSc Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science) or equivalent.
* Practitioner or scientist registration desirable.
