Job Description
Working for a well-known tier one contractor, their London division is looking to expand their design team further. Having recently been awarded two new-build schools, one in central London and the other in West London, they require a strong design manager to lead the schemes whilst working on tenders and the pre-con of further education projects for the DfE.
Project values vary from £15m to £50m, as do the MMC's used for each scheme including steal and RC frames.
Whilst clearly having design management experience in education is advantageous, it is not paramount, however, being able to demonstrate able to demonstrate longevity in previous roles within main contracting is essential in order to considered for the role.
You can come from either an architectural, design or engineering background, so long as you have managed the design of build projects from tender to handover.
