Those Huge Small Victories
Our Teaching Assistants are fulfilled by making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, celebrating the little things. There are many ups and downs, and for some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and while they may seem small, they make a big difference.
Get out what you put in
You’ll work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll help them learn, develop their abilities, and raise their self-esteem. Resilience and dedication are required, but the huge small victories you achieve will be something to be proud of.
It can be challenging, but the positive steps forward will more than compensate. As a Teaching Assistant at Witherslack Group, you’ll receive support to succeed. Your colleagues will be highly skilled, the school environments well-resourced, and we’ll support you every step of the way to build a rewarding teaching career.
One of the best environments in SEND
"Our idea is that every student who comes to us will soar. No matter what their past, this will be the school where they 'lift off' and rise to their potential."
The school's logo, a soaring bird, symbolizes this aspiration. Upon joining, each young person is encouraged to aim high and begin their journey to academic and personal achievement. The school's extensive grounds, well-equipped classrooms, and vocational centre provide an ideal environment, recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
