Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership skills. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production and preparation while fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production.
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, maintaining high culinary standards.
* Manage inventory, including ordering and storing food supplies while adhering to food safety regulations.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, complying with health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
* Maintain effective communication within the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
* Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food safety standards, and culinary practices.
* Excellent cooking skills with an ability to prepare diverse cuisines.
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
