The Isle of Man Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) is a partnership initiative between the Isle of Man Police (IOMC) and Manx Care to improve the care provided to victims of rape and sexual assault. A key function of this role is to conduct forensic examinations, to collect evidence to help the police investigate a possible crime and to take care of the holistic needs of complainants to minimise the potential physical and psychological impact of the assault/rape. This role will include providing telephone information and support to those who contact the SARC. This role will also include undertaking the administration process of those accessing the SARC, which will include collecting forensic evidence, use of the colposcope and supporting, and providing advocacy for those using the service. Key Responsibilities: The post holder will be expected to work with the multi-disciplinary team providing appropriate support and forensic examinations. In this role, you will be expected to deliver appropriate care for individuals following rape, sexual assault or domestic abuse either recent or historic who access the service.
