Reigate School is seeking to appoint a Sports Specialist to deliverer high quality, engaging, and age-appropriate sports coaching to students, promoting physical activity, teamwork and overall wellbeing.
The successful candidate will:
1. Deliver sports sessions, covering a variety of activities, such as football, netball, athletics, tennis, gymnastics, basketball and more
2. Work alongside the PE Subject Lead and teaching staff to develop and implement a structured and inclusive sports curriculum
3. Teach and develop key motor skills, coordination, and teamwork through engaging sports and activities
4. Organise and lead after school sports clubs, teams, and tournaments
5. Monitor and assess the progress of students in their physical education and sports development
The ideal candidate will:
6. Hold a professional coaching award or multi sports qualification
7. Have experience of coaching or teaching young people aged 11–16
8. Be able to support deliver structured sports sessions or physical activity programmes
9. Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of sport pedagogy and how to engage young people in physical activity
10. Have knowledge of safeguarding protocols and best practices when working with young people
11. Be enthusiastic, positive, and able to inspire young people

This is a part time term time position working 7.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year (term time only).
The full time equivalent annual salary is £30,647 to £32,867. The pro rata annual salary is £5,351 to £5,739.
