Purchasing/procurement
• Managing procurement for multiple projects running concurrently, across a range of values and complexity
• Placing orders in line with project requirements, accurately, on-time and achieving maximum value
• Maintaining existing and developing new supplier relationships
• Reporting order status and job performance to departments across the business
• Identify and assess potential suppliers and products
• Maintain the consistent flow of materials to fabrication and installation departments
• Coordinate all machinery and equipment hire
• React to supply issues and work to find solutions
• Attend weekly department and major project meetings
• Contribute to indirect procurement activities
Qualities required
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent organisation, interpersonal and communication skills
• An understanding of and commitment to ethical procurement practices
• Excellent negotiating and persuasion skills
• Experience of working with Microsoft Office and MRP systems
