We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the design, fabrication, and testing of process piping systems and pressure vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Documentation, ITP,s, NDT procedures, pressure testing, and compliance with ASME, BS EN ISO, ISO 9001, and PED standards.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the development of a positive and high-profile quality culture across the business and at sites.
Assist in the development and implementation of the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications; review customer requirements and make sure they are met.
Provide daily support with production issues related to quality.
Communicate with suppliers, customers, and other internal departments regarding quality matters.
Advise on the preparation of technical files and project quality documents and ensure these documents are prepared, reviewed and revised, as necessary.
Advice on UKCA mark and CE mark.
Investigate non-conforming incidents, produce suitable reports and help identify and implement remedial actions.
Attend pre-start up and end of project lessons learnt meetings.
Ensure all technical documents are up to date, logged and updated correctly as part of the project handover process.
Plan and conduct regular ISO 9001 audits and spot checks to ensure compliance with internal processes.
Collate and report quality KPIs and present key findings to management.
Support external 3rd party audits through provision of requested documentation, records, and information.
Identify and conduct training on quality related procedures.
Ensure all documentation complies with ASME, ISO 9001, PED, and other relevant standards.
Create and follow Project ITP’s
Coordinate with engineering and quality departments to gather necessary data and documentation.
Maintain records of Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and pressure test results.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and complete documentation.
Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Coordinate and witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
Oversee Document control of Material Test Certificates (MTCs), inspection records, and quality documentation.
Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 3834, 1090, 15614, 9606, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3 ASME BPE, PED, and other relevant codes.
Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality standards and best practices.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a quality role within a fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ASME, BS EN ISO, ISO 9001, PED, and other industry standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and welding symbols.
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
