Overview
YouView creates software for set‑top boxes, streaming pucks, and smart TVs to deliver a TV experience users love. The platform is powered by a reliable, resilient, and secure cloud backend and unique firmware that controls media playback and lower‑level components. It combines on‑demand with live TV through an integrated editorial lens, providing rich, relevant content across both free and pay services. In April 2024, YouView launched Freely with Everyone TV, a streaming service that consolidates live and on‑demand content from all major UK broadcasters in one app.
