Overview
Mobile Mechanical Engineer – Facilities Management at Galliford Try.
Location: Edinburgh area. The Mechanical Mobile Engineer will undertake mechanical planned and reactive maintenance across the contract’s estates, with travel across multiple sites/projects in the region. The working week is Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and an on-call rota; a company vehicle is provided for travel on GTFM business.
What you will be doing
* Attend and carry out planned, reactive and additional works across the contract’s estate.
* Attend all jobs issued, which may include non-mechanical work for which you have the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.
* Undertake tasks as directed by supervisors or other line management and by the Helpdesk, in accordance with GTFM, client and site policies and procedures.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans.
* Participate in the on-call rota; as this is a mobile-based contract a company vehicle will be provided and must be used for travelling on GTFM business.
* Adhere to instructions related to the tasks in hand.
* Ensure all work meets current legislative standards and industry best practices.
* Act in a courteous and respectful manner when representing Galliford Try.
* Attend toolbox talks, training and meetings as directed by management.
About you
* FM experience in an educational setting is desirable.
* You must have a clean driving licence due to travel requirements.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements.
