Wincanton are recruiting for Class1 Drivers to join our team at RDC Dartford – Rennie Drive. This is on the Sainsburys contract delivering fresh and ambient food products.

4. This is on a 12-week rota working 18 shifts across a four-week period
5. Start time band will be nights (22:00-00:59/01:00-02:30)
6. Working 6 out of 12 weekends
7. 4 weekly pay
8. Interviews and assessments to be held mid-September 2025
Duties include:
9. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
10. Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
11. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available).
12. Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
13. To ensure delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.
14. Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
15. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.
16. Company and Company brand ambassador, delivering service level agreements
17. Shunting duties may be required on an Ad hoc basis (Training will be given)
18. Various vehicles including Rigids and Double Deckers
What will you bring?
19. Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
20. Must have valid in date CPC
21. Must hold Digital tachograph card
22. Must not have more than 6 points on licence
23. Minimum 12 months active experience
24. Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
25. Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
26. Must be fully flexible on working hours
27. Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
28. Must have excellent communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
29. Must have a good geographical knowledge
