You will join our Impact Assessment department You will be part of our UK Impact Assessment team, which forms part of our Global Impact Assessment Spearhead, working principally with UK and international EIA teams but also with our marine engineering team and our transport (ports and harbours) and energy sector leads. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: To grow and lead our marine team to build and service our ports and harbours, offshore wind and offshore connections portfolio by: Upskilling our existing and transferrable marine personnel to deliver offshore wind and other marine work Recruiting new marine team members to fill outstanding or overstretched competence areas Developing our supply chain and partners into a clear delivery model for marine projects To grow our marine project pipeline by: Supporting strategic thinking around expansion into key locations/ markets Proactive business development by developing existing contacts and building new industry contacts. Leading on key strategic bids and supporting our broad spectrum of opportunities Maintaining and strengthening connections across Ramboll to access opportunities and support development of the 'Sector Offshore Wind' offer internally. Raising our profile to the marine industry, including through representation at conferences, production of news and technical articles, social media presence etc. To direct and support our projects in Project Director, Project Manager and/ or Technical Assurance roles providing direction to the EIA team, overall assurance and accountability for deliverables, providing EIA and wider consenting strategic advice and troubleshooting to the Project, senior client and stakeholder representatives. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Experienced in delivering EIAs in the offshore wind, ports and harbour and/or connection infrastructure sector and be familiar with the relevant Regulations. Well networked in the marine sector with a proven track record of winning work with a variety of clients Experienced in commercial and business management including management and responses to strategic bids, monthly reporting, resourcing and recruitment A degree (or equivalent), in a relevant environmental discipline, with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA Postgraduate qualification in environmental science/planning (or related field of study) desirable but not essential Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: A technical leader in EIA with experience of providing technical direction at a project level. Experience in due diligence work would be useful.
