A senior inpatient role with real clinical leadership impact, working within a 12-bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Amber Ward at Langley Green Hospital.

The role
You will provide senior clinical leadership within a 12-bed PICU, supporting adults experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading psychiatric assessment and treatment for inpatients
* Acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act
* Leading ward rounds and MDT discussions
* Supervising junior doctors and contributing to training
* Supporting clinical governance, audit and service improvement
* Working closely with inpatient and community services

About you
You will be a Consultant Psychiatrist (or within 6 months of CCT) with strong inpatient and leadership capability.
You will hold:
* GMC registration with licence to practise
* Specialist Register status (or within 6 months)
* Approved Clinician status (or ability to achieve within 3 months)
You’ll also bring:
* Strong experience managing complex and acute presentations
* Confidence working in a PICU / inpatient setting (or similar)
* A collaborative, MDT-focused approach
* Interest in service development and improvement
